20 Questions with My KidMin Conference Friends

In a week I will be headed to Chicago for the very first Kidmin Conference hosted by Group. I am over the top excited to get together with others in Children's Ministry for this time of conversations and learning.

Several of my friends are speaking and I wanted to take this time to learn more about them and what they will be sharing at the conference.

Have you met Dan Scott?
One of the things I love most about Dan is his passion for storytelling in Children's Ministry. He is by far one of the most creative people I have ever met and is always willing to answer questions and share ideas. I love the family stories he shares through pictures on a regular basis.

Dan will be leading a workshop at the conference called Leading Creative Teams and here is a bit about what he will be sharing there.

Leading a team of people who create events and programs is not always easy. Creatives are--well--creative, and with that creativity you also find drama, opinions, a strange vocabulary, and a way of life that is difficult to harness around a common idea. In this workshop, you'll get everything you need to get your creative team in sync with your vision and with each other. We'll look at who you need on the team, creative brainstorming methods, leading programming meetings, vocabulary you need to know, and taking an event from start to finish. If you lead a team of people who need to pull off any sort of creative element (from weekend large group to Christmas pageants and events), this workshop is for you.

Take a moment to chat with Dan at the conference. I know that you will come away from that conversation with something new to think about. You can learn more about Dan and from him on his blog and you can connect with him on Twitter.

Here is what Dan is looking forward to at the conference:
