Around the Tables Again

Today I am joining Lisa-Jo and friends for Five Minute Friday.
This is where we come together writing for 5 minutes without editing or overthinking.
I love this community.

Check out what everyone's is sharing on the word AGAIN here.

Five Minute Friday

We are gathered around the tables again.
This group of women. This group of mommas.
My friends. My sisters.
We bow our heads in prayer together.
Inviting Him into this space we share.
We open our Bibles and read aloud the Word.
Seeking Him.
Wanting to know more of Him.
Together.
We talk of things that are usually held inside.
And know that we aren't alone.
We are sharing the deepest parts of our hearts.
And know that we are loved.
Around the tables again.
We end our time together bowing once again in prayer.
For each other. For our families.
Bringing to Him all things.
We hesitate to leave this place.
A sacred place.
On the way home, I weep.
Thanking Him for the gift of you all.
Thanking Him.
For our time around the tables again.

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.
I always pray for you, and I make my requests
with a heart full of joy.
Philippians 1:3-4

Blessings,

  3. I've definitely found this kind of community online. Praying for a deeper knowledge of this in my real life. I do love what God is blossoming in me, in regards to intentionally seeking community. It's both terrifying and wonderful. Love you, friend. So glad to catch up a teeny bit tonight!

  9. It's so great that you have found such a devoted, transparent community. I'm still working on finding that in my life. I've been surrounded most of my life by mask-wearing posers. I've found a small group that is real and transparent, but I still struggle to open some areas of my life to them because of past hurts. It gets a little easier every week, though. Thanks for the glimpse of what true friendship is supposed to look like.

  14. What a gift groups of women like this are. I am still super close to a group of women I met during my first few years of marriage. Funny how babies and husbands and newlywed issues bring you close.

  15. I love this... and am blessed by my circle of friends digging in together as well... what an honor and a blessing to do life together - both 'live' in the flesh across the table, and through the screen, across the country/world!

  19. I am in a weekly Bible study and when we share, it's the Holy Spirit inviting us into the secret heart. It's like we remove the layers and the facade and let the Word invade our lives. Thank you for sharing and so eloquently expressing the word "again." You have a gift! Bless you! A FMF buddy!
