A Wider Path

Today I am joining Lisa-Jo and friends for Five Minute Friday.
This is where we come together writing for 5 minutes without editing or overthinking.
I love this community.

Check out what everyone's is sharing on the word LOOK here.

Five Minute Friday

The path is getting wider.
I don't know exactly when it happened or how it happened, but it did.

I have had this picture in my head on how I would serve Him and what it looked like. I love children's ministry BIG. It's my sweet spot. And for the last year I have stayed in this little box that was comfortable even though I felt the nudge of more. Put me in a room full of kids and my heart skips a beat or two in excitement.
Talking about Jesus with these tiny beings that just soak it all in and fall in love with Him with complete abandon.

Then when I least expected it, the path got wider.
Come talk with the moms. That is what she said.
You love their kids already. Now come love on them.

So tonight as I looked into the faces of these wonderfully marvelously made women, I couldn't help but laugh at me thinking that I had this path all figured out.
So I know that I will follow no matter the size of the path.
He has beauty there for me with each step.

I am thankful and so incredibly blessed.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20

  1. yeah, just when we think we get it all figured out, God turns our worlds upside down! Working on telling me story about all that. It's a zinger! God likes to get us out of our comfort zone for sure! I love your font! I'm sure those moms love you and see your love for their little ones shining through you! xo

  16. I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone to follow His plan, too. It's both scary and exhilarating at the same time. Have to keep reminding myself to look forward toward Him and His blessings, and leave the past in the dust. Thanks for the encouragement!

  18. I've thought I knew the path I was supposed to be on SO many times. God is so gracious to lead us and use us despite our reluctancy. I've found that once I step out on the wider path, I wonder why I hesitated so long! Looking to Him to lead the best and most blessed way! May He meet you in a profound way on the wider path. :)
