Stretch and Pull

Today I am joining Lisa-Jo and friends
Today's topic is Stretch.

stretch and pull.
He stretches me most in the waiting place.
that place where I wait for what's next
while wading through the what's now.

He has to remind me often...
have patience, my daughter.
...my plans are good.
...my timing is perfect.

you are exactly where I want you to be right now.
waiting while I do a work in you
before I do a work through you.
the preparation place for what's to come.

stretch and pull.
these are the moments that build my faith.
knowing how much He loves me.
trusting in all He has for me.
believing that the stretch proceeds the growth.
standing on His promises.

For God is working in you,
giving you the desire and the power
to do what pleases him.
Philippians 2:13

May he equip you with all you need for doing his will.
May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever!
Amen.
Hebrews 13:21

  3. "stretching proceeds growth." You have beautifully weaved the words together that the meaning is so clear, yet colorful. Challenges me to pray for stretching so I can grow ever more like my Jesus.

    1. Thank you so much Pamela! Sometimes it can be a challenge to pray for those moments to stretch knowing that there may be some pain involved, but oh what a reward to know that He is growing us through it. Blessings friend!

  4. "Stretch proceeds the growth" words that have shown themselves true in my own life, in all of our lives really. It is only a few who choose to admit it in the public eye. I am glad that you choose to share your life this way. It matters...

  6. Wendy,
Ohhh, the part that really hit me in this post is what you said about the waiting place. Ugh. That dreaded waiting place stretches me for sure.

  7. Oh Wendy, it's like you just stepped into my heart and put the feelings, emotions, and life as it is now on this page. Waiting for what is next and wading for what is now...I can so understand that. Beautiful!
