What I'm Reading

I have started a new series on Wednesdays that will give me an opportunity to share what I am reading. This may vary from week to week as I tend to read multiple books at a time.

Right now I am reading A Heart Like His by Beth Moore.

A description of the book from Amazon:

"He was a man loved and anointed by God, and his life serves as an example—both good and bad—for Christians in every time and place. In this in-depth look at the life of David, Beth Moore draws spiritual insight and understanding from a man who slayed a giant and saved a kingdom.

This book guides readers on an exciting and informative journey through virtually every twist and turn of David’s life as a shepherd, refugee, and king. Moore introduces readers to the heart of a man whose triumphs and sins were foundation blocks of God’s plan and prophecy and shows readers how to better serve God by understanding their own unique relationship to Him."

I am a huge fan of Beth Moore as she both inspires and challenges me with every book that I have read of hers.
Her writing drips with her love of God and His Word.

Here are just a few of my favorite quotes from the book so far:

"He loves us, calls us, redeems us, and uses us totally because of who He is."

"The Lord revealed Himself through His spoken word to a little boy. What is equally amazing, He comes today and reveals Himself through His written Word to you and to me."

"Faith sometimes means forgoing our desires because we trust Christ to have a better plan for our lives."

What are you reading right now?
