Missions Monday

It's time for Missions Monday.
Every Monday I will introduce you to some great charities that you and your family can get involved in. When I say get involved, I mean you can donate your money, time, and/or pray for these organizations who are doing amazing things to help people.

Today I would like to introduce you to Gospel for Asia.

I actually heard about GFA on our local Christian radio station, LOVE 89.1FM. They were promoting the Gospel for Asia's Christmas Gift Campaign. This is a fantastic way for families, schools, churches, and children's ministries to get involved in a mission project. You purchase the item which is delivered by a local pastor or missionary who then is able to share Jesus with the people you will be helping.

Here is a little more about the people that GFA helps through your donations:

"Spread across South Asia is a forgotten people group too numerous to count. They’re despised by their countrymen and viewed as subhuman. Even the shadows they cast are believed to be contaminated by their filth. They are the Dalits, the "Untouchables" of South Asia.

Their life is valued at less then the animals whose dung they clean from the streets. Banned from the rest of society, they find employment removing trash, discarding animal carcasses and cleaning out latrines and sewers.

When you purchase items from the Christmas catalog, you’re choosing to send more than a chicken, a cow or a sewing machine. You’re sending hope that can forever change a life.

Cows supply milk that can be sold. A sewing machine for a widow creates a career and chickens supply an income. These gifts will change lives."
