A Review of Fearless by Max Lucado

Fear. We all experience fear in one way or another. Max Lucado challenges us to exchange fear for faith in his newest book "Fearless". Faith in the promises of God.

I have been looking forward to reading this book as I am a huge fan of Max Lucado and who wouldn't want to read more about being fearless in a world that promotes fear. I wasn't disappointed.

Starting with why we fear in the first chapter and moving on to the various fears that we have in the preceeding chapter, Max Lucado covers it all. He doesn't just talk about the fears, he provides practical scripture based solutions.

As a mom, the chapter called "My Child is in Danger" impacted me the most. Max Lucado talks about his newborn daughters and the anxiety he experienced even as they slept. He also shared the story of Jarius and his daughter showing faith and hope rather than living in fear and defeat. The author assures us that God never dismisses a parent's prayer and calls us to entrust our children to Christ.

I definitely recommend this book to all as we all experience fear in one way or another and Max Lucado asks us to consider what was said over and over in the Bible..."Do not be afraid." Don't we all want to be more FEARLESS?
