My Thoughts
Barefoot Summer is a beautiful story of two people finding their way back to God and falling in love in the process. They have both suffered great loss in their lives from Madison's brother's death to Beckett's alcoholic father. I fell in love with both of them from the very first swimming lesson when they both put their feet in the water. I wanted to shake them both several times along the way when there were misunderstandings. I was fully invested in what was happening. I was that person talking to the book along the way. I wanted their happily ever after for them.
I just loved reading how God brought them together and back to Him. And when it was over, I wanted to read more. That's when you know it's a fantastic story. When you are so caught up in it, that you will miss the people you have been reading about and I will definitely miss Madison and Beckett.
Pick up Barefoot Summer.
Meet Madison and Beckett.
You'll love them.

About the Book
In the years since her twin brother’s drowning, Madison McKinley has
struggled to put it behind her. Despite the support of her close-knit family and
her gratifying job as a veterinarian in their riverside town, the loss still
haunts her.
To find closure, Madison sets out to fulfill her brother’s dream of winning
the town’s annual regatta. But first she has to learn to sail, and fast.
Beckett O’Reilly knows Madison is out of his league, but someone neglected to
tell his heart. Now she needs his help—and he’ll give it, because he owes her
far more than she’ll ever know.
