Yummy in Their Tummy - Upside Down Meatball Pizza

My guys have suggested that I share
some of their favorite meals.
These meals are quick and easy to make
and they love them.

Today's recipe is

Upside Down Meatball Pizza

inspired by Julie from Naptime Review

Ingredients

2 - 28oz. bag meatballs
2 - 14oz. jars pizza sauce
2 - 13.8oz. tubes pizza crust
1- 15oz. container ricotta cheese
1 - 8oz. bag shredded mozzarella cheese

Put both bags of meatballs into the crock pot along with both jars of pizza sauce. I use turkey meatballs, but you can use regular meatballs.
Also you can use additional jars of pizza sauce to your taste.
Cook on medium for 3-4 hours.

Mix the ricotta and mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
(If you like more cheese, you can double the amount in the recipe.)

Put cooked meatballs into casserole pan.
(The recipe actually makes 2 pans.)

Add cheese mixture on top of meatballs.

Top with pizza crust.
I found it much easier to break dough into two pieces to roll out then spread on top.

Bake in over at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
*time may vary with oven*

Let it cool and serve.

Not only is this meal super easy to make, but it is also inexpensive. I do buy the Great Value (WalMart) brand of crust, cheese, and pizza sauce. This meal, which ends up actually being 2 meals for our family, costs under $20.

Enjoy!

What is an easy and inexpensive meal that you make for your family?
