Yummy in Their Tummy - Homemade Pizza Pockets

My guys have suggested that I share
some of their favorite meals.
These meals are quick and easy to make
and they love them.

Today's recipe is

Homemade Pizza Pockets

Ingredients

3 - 13.8oz tubes pizza crust
1 - 16oz tube ground turkey
1 - package of pepperoni
1 - 24oz can pasta sauce
1 - 15oz container of ricotta cheese
1 - 8oz package shredded mozzarella cheese
*You can substitute sausage for the turkey
and pizza sauce for the pasta sauce.

Microwave ground turkey for 12-15 minutes
until fully cooked stirring periodically. Drain.

Mix ricotta and mozzarella cheeses in a bowl.

Separate and roll out crust.
You should have 2 for each tube used.

Place crust on cookie or pizza sheet.

Place cheese mixture on one half of the crust.

Add turkey, pepperoni, and sauce on top of cheese.

Fold crust over.
Bake in oven at 400 for 15-18 minutes.

We had such fun together making our pizza pockets.

Not only is this meal super quick and easy,
but it is also inexpensive costing under $15 to make.

Enjoy!

What is an easy and inexpensive meal that you make for your family?

  5. Hi Wendy! I'm a new follower from the GFC blog hop!

We make something similar to your pizza pockets, too, and the whole family loves them! I'm always up for easy, inexpensive meals! Normally when we try to do something fast and cheap, I go with mexican style dishes. Those almost never fail me! :o)

We buy the Great Value brand of everything, too! :o)

    1. Thanks Becca! If they didn't prompt me, I probably wouldn't have started sharing recipes. I consider myself only an ok cook, but they think I am all that and a bag of chips. Gotta love my guys! Blessings!

  8. What a terrific idea! My three boys love those "pizza pockets" that are in the store - but I'm not thrilled with all of the additives! I am definitely going to try creating my own homemade version! Thanks for the inspiration!
