Compassion As A Family

September is "Blog for Compassion" month and I am so blessed to be joining other bloggers in raising awareness for the most vulnerable and needy children in the world.
Compassion's goal for this month is to have 3,108 children receive sponsorship.

There are many ways to get involved with Compassion as a family.

You can visit Compassion's website and pray over the children there together. Praying that each one receives a sponsor, comes to know Jesus, has enough to eat, and stays healthy.

You can visit the For Kids page where there are several resources to use in teaching your children more about Compassion and the children they serve around the world.
There is even a game they can play which will take them on a trip to the different places where Compassion serves, learning about culture, poverty, and the Compassion kids.

You can also sponsor a child as a family. $38 a month provides food, clean water, medical care, educational opportunities, a Bible, and skills training. Your family will also have an opportunity to correspond with the child you've sponsored. Most important of all, your child will hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged in his or her relationship with Him.

All of these are fantastic ways for you
to get involved and support Compassion as a family.

He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will reward him for what he has done.
Proverbs 19:17
