Missions Monday

It's time for Missions Monday.

Every Monday I will introduce you to some great charities that you can get involved in. When I say get involved, I mean you can donate your money, time, and/or pray for these organizations who are doing amazing things to help people.

Today I would like to re-introduce you to

From the website:

"The LORD’s Child is a 501(c)(3) non-profit humanitarian organization, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Sevierville, Tennessee. It provides food, clothing, school supplies and Christmas toys for American children. It also provides shelter, schools, health care and clean water for children in Uganda, South Africa, Kenya and India.

The LORD's Child has undertaken a long-range community development plan for remote villages. Building an infrastructure to last for generations of children is the best way to ensure that the individual child's needs will be met within the safety of his/her village.

To provide the funds for this community development, The LORD's Child established a child sponsorship program in August 2011. The program is unique in that an army of Village Missionaries travel overseas at least once a year, acting as the hands and feet of our Village Partners who sponsor children.

The LORD's Child sponsorship program offers a doublefold means of spreading the gospel.

1. It sponsors children by developing communities that will provide their needs.

2. It also reaches back into America's rich heritage of sending missionaries into all the parts of the world.

A zeal for missions is what made America so great. Our sponsorship program enables our Village Missionaries who have been called of God to have the financial means of 'going into all the world and preaching the gospel' while being the hands and feet to personally care for sponsored children."
