He Bends Down

He doesn't just listen.
He bends down to do so.
My prayers cause Him to lean in.
Such an intimate moment.
Every time I come to Him in prayer.
In that moment I have His complete attention.
My heart pours out
"Thank You, Abba."
Thanking Him for revealing Himself to me in all the ways possible.
In His Word. In the melodies.
Thanking Him for all He has done, is doing, and will do in my life.
He has big plans for me.
Thanking Him for the gifts.
The gift of D and our boys.
The gift of my mom.
The gift of the women who I call sisters.
The gift of my small group girls.
Blessings.
Thanking Him for each and every one.
I can't stop.
An offering of thanks for it all.
Him.
Bending down.
Listening.
Thankful for that most of all.

What are you thankful for today?

  2. Beautiful!!! Thank you for following me - I am following you back. I see we have a few things in common. I coordinate our children's ministries at church - and team lead the small group a month at a time. :) And I love it that you support missions this way. I am a missionary in Croatia - and love to see people who have a heart to support missions this way. Sometimes people have the misconception that the only way you can support is through finances...but sometimes just popping a small card in the mail, or sending a thoughtful email in response to our prayer letters is enough to make our day. :) Thank you for raising awareness this way. It really did give me a boost!

  6. He stooped to us because we could never tiptoe to Him...

    1. So true Shannon! That made me think of when my boys were little and would stand on tiptoe and lean in to get closer. I would still have to bend or kneel down. Such a wonderful visual to how it is with Him when we pray.
So glad to hear that you ordered Greater! Seriously so good. Wrecked is next on my wish list. What are you reading now?
      Blessings sweet friend!
