20 Questions with My KidMin Conference Friends

In a few days I will be headed to Chicago for the very first Kidmin Conference hosted by Group. I am over the top excited to get together with others in Children's Ministry for this time of conversations and learning.

Several of my friends are speaking and I wanted to take this time to learn more about them and what they will be sharing at the conference.

Have you met Dale Hudson?
One of the things I love about Dale is his passion for volunteers. He loves helping people find their place to serve in Children's Ministry according to the gifts that God has given them. He is equally passionate about equiping and encouraging his team of volunteers.

Dale will be leading a Half-Track called Leadership That Lasts...How to Go the Distance in Children's Ministry and here is a bit about what he will share there.

Each month, more than 1,500 church staff leave the ministry. More than half say they'd leave the ministry if they had another way to make a living. This exodus is in opposition to what someone once said: "Greatness in ministry isn't measured in years...but in decades." Leadership that lasts doesn't happen by accident. There are pitfalls you must avoid and there are disciplines and principles you must live by if you're going to go the distance. Find out how you can have a fruitful and effective ministry for the long haul. Discover the keys to not just surviving, but thriving in ministry for a lifetime.

He is also leading a workshop at the conference called 9.Recruiting Volunteers: Quick Tips With Lasting Results and here is what he will be sharing there.

The success of your ministry rises and falls on the strength of the volunteer team you build. No matter the size of your ministry, you'll always need more volunteers. Discover proven strategies that'll help you enlist, encourage, and equip a thriving volunteer team.

If you have a chance to chat with Dale, make time to do so. I am very much looking forward to meeting him myself. You can learn more about Dale and from him on his blog and connect with him on Twitter.
