Waiting Well

My grandma once told me that we spend half our lives waiting. We wait for the red lights to turn green. We wait in line at the grocery store. We wait in a room to see a doctor.

A good friend of mine reminded me recently that waiting doesn't mean standing still. Waiting can be a time of preparation. A time to get ready for what's ahead.

I am in a kind of waiting room today.
I so want to wait well.

Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
Psalm 27:14
