Small Group Time

When we look at a tree we can tell what kind of tree it is by what kind of fruit it grows. It’s the same with our lives. People can tell if we’re Christians by the fruit in our lives. If we show Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control in our lives then people will be able to tell that we are Christians. That’s why they call those things "the Fruit of the Spirit."

All of us have to wait at some point. And waiting usually isn’t fun. But to be Patient means that we wait without complaining. While we’re patiently waiting, we can pray. We can use our time wisely while we wait, because complaining doesn’t really help anyone. Instead of complaining, we should rejoice! God’s done amazing things for us and blessed us in many, many ways.

The paper has something for you all to do together this week. These activities will give you an opportunity to talk with your child about the lesson and have some great devotion time together as a family.
