Missions Monday

It's time for Missions Monday.

Every Monday I will introduce you to some great charities that you and your family can get involved in. When I say get involved, I mean you can donate your money, time, and/or pray for these organizations who are doing amazing things to help people.

Today I would like to introduce you to

From the website:

"Asking for the Nations Inc. is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to the humanitarianism of men, women, children, and orphans.  AFTN’S mission is to enable and equip the people of East Africa to reverse their own poverty and help lead them to their destiny through empowerment and education."

Current Project:

Tanzania Destiny Center will include a micro-farm, a medical clinic, an orphanage, primary and secondary schools, and a vocational center.  This project is equipping Tanzanians to reverse their own poverty through education and empowerment.  Tanzania Destiny Center will be a model that can be replicated throughout other indigenous parts of the world.  In February 2011, we will break ground and begin construction on Phase 1 of the Tanzania Destiny Center.
