The Way Home - A Review





The Way Home is an incredible movie based on the true story of Randy and Christal Simpkins and how their missing child not only effects them but the people around them as well. The search for their 2 year old son, Joe, puts their faith to the test. Their church and community rally around this family in support from joining the search to praying for them. Ultimately this is Randy's journey from a man consumed with work to a man who understands that his first priority has to be God and his family.

I loved this movie and it's resounding story of hope. My favorite scene is when Randy is praying in the middle of the woods. It is a moving portrait of surrender. The kind of surrender that we as parents must do every day as we turn our children over to a God who loves them.
