So many of us begin our journey to know more of God due to an incident that changes our perspective. Upside is all about that shift in perspective.
Solomon is a star lacrosse player and seems to have it all. An accident on the field causes his view of the world to change. His world turns upside down both literally and figuratively. When he experiences a miracle, Solomon begins a journey to find his identity in God and a search for his purpose in life.
I absolutely loved the moments Solomon spent with his English teacher, Mrs. Buck. She looked past everything and saw his potential. She believed in him and really invested in his life. The moment that they prayed together was incredibly moving and my favorite part of the movie.
Upside is a wonderful movie that the whole family will enjoy. Would be fantastic for a family movie night at church. It can even be used as a small group study for teens.
