Do You Know Who You Are?

Today in Summit Kidz we started a new series - "Do You Know Who You Are?"

I have been so excited about this week's lesson about being BFFs with Jesus!

We talked about the friendships that we have with others and what makes a really good friend.

A friend is someone that we enjoy spending time with, someone who loves us for who we are, and someone who forgives us.

Jesus wants so much to be all of those and more!

Our verse today was...
"I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
John 15:15

We learned about an amazing friendship in the Bible - David and Jonathan! They enjoyed spending time together. They loved each other so much. When things got really tough, they were there for each other.

They epitimized the verse...
"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
John 15:13

We made friendship bracelets to give to our friends and learned the verse by playing with arrows and a bullseye. We also played a game encouraging us to make new friends by high fiving and shaking hands.
