The Summit Kidz series is all about JOY this month!
JOY is finding a way to be happy, even when things don't go your way.
Our key verse is: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Philippians 4:4
Last week we learned that when things seem bad, REMEMBER what Jesus said.
Our lesson was from Luke 22:7-20
During the Last Supper he wanted to prepare His disciples for what was to come in the next days. He broke the bread and said, "This is my body given for you." He then passed the cup and said, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
Why do we take communion? To REMEMBER that God LOVED and God GAVE. God loved us and gave His only Son to pay for all of our sins on the cross. Communion reminds us of this huge gift. When we believe in Jesus and ask Him to be our Savior, we receive another gift-living with God for eternity.
Really excited about this week with Summit Kidz! We are traveling down Emmaus Road!
